Site Visit- Multi-faceted Regional Engineering Team
A milestone visit was done in April to the Tranquility Beach Resort site in Dominica, by a multi-faceted seven person engineering team with members hailing from six different countries – Dominica, Anguilla, St. Kitts, United Kingdom, United States, Barbados and Puerto Rico. Having the full engineering team present at one time presented the perfect setting for the cross-fertilization of brilliant ideas, across cultures and the various engineering genres of Electrical, Structural, Geo-tech, Plumbing, Mechanical, Project Management and Architectural. One of the most energetic members of the team was 9 year old Kieron who kept the team very active and on their toes. He was excited to join in on the trip given his passion about engineering and architecture.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, so after a couple days of site inspections and fruitful meetings, the team rewarded themselves with a taste of Dominica – a relaxing soak at Screws Sulphur Spring and a stop at The Fish Pot in Pointe Michel, where they selected their preferred fish and had it prepared in their desired style, to perfection.
The team enjoyed the opportunity to engage in passionate discussions with colleagues from around the world and to sample the cultural flavor and warm hospitality in Dominica.
